In Wenling, Zhejiang Province, in the middle of a new road, not far from the railway station, there is a “nail house”.
Right in the middle of a road stands this building with four floors height. As you can see from the pictures, the other residents of the houses that were close to this building have accepted the displacement and the houses were all demolished. At that time, parts of this building were damaged.
The owners of the “nail house” claiming the possession of the house and the right to stay; they presented a certificate of ownership, to demonstrate that they are not abusive. The local government has offered subsidies to the owners but these have not met their expectations and therefore they have not consented to the demolition.
But the work to incorporate suburbs or countrysides and add them as big connecting roads can not stop and that’s why the road was also completed, although it is not yet open to the public.
