Dante Lam

Dante Lam was born  in Hong Kong, on July 1, 1964.

He started his film career in the late 1980s as assistant director for renowned Hong Kong director Gordon Chan.

He then became co-director with Gordon Chan  for Beast Cop. Since then Lam has directed numerous successful films.

Dante Lam Chiu-Yin (林超贤; 林超賢; Lín Chāoxián) is a major figure and film director of the Hong Kong action cinema.

He was trained in the tradition of John Woo as an assistant director and worked as an actor and producer. He often writes and supervises his own choreography.

In 2008 he won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Director for his work on Beast Stalker.
