Yufeng Monastery, Lijiang

Located at the foot of the south segment of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the Yufeng Monastery constructed in the Qing Dynasty is one of the most interesting temples of the Lijiang area.

Planted in the Ming Dynasty, the 500-year-old camellia tree in the Monastery compound bears over 10 thousand flowers on the “Beginning of Spring” (the 1st solar term), and because of this it has won the fame “first camellia tree of the world”.
