The Abandoned
- -On New Year's Eve, as brilliant fireworks lit up the sky, Wu Jie, feeling lonely and desolate, drove herself to the river bank with the intention of ending her life. However, her suicidal thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the sound of screams. She soon discovered a swollen female corpse, which prevented her from finding peace in the darkness of the night. Initially, the death was assumed to be an accident caused by an electric fish, but upon conducting a forensic autopsy, it was discovered that the victim's left ring finger and heart were missing. The police were at a loss, but an anonymous phone call eventually led them to identify the deceased as a lost migrant worker. Following this lead, Wu Jie tracked down the victim's boyfriend, Lin Yousheng, and delivered the tragic news of his girlfriend's death. However, the unexpected revelation also made Lin Yousheng the prime suspect in his girlfriend's murder. As a result, Interpol and the authorities investigating illegal migrant workers were forced to join forces to bring the murderer to justice.
