The Giant Golden Pagoda (姐勒大金塔) is by the Jiele Village of Jiele Township, Ruili Municipality, Dehong Prefecture.
It was said that Zhao Wuding, the King of the Mengmao Kingdom built the pagoda in 1500. The pagoda was ruined and rebuilt 10 times, and the present Golden Pagoda was rebuilt in the early 1980s.
This Giant Golden Pagoda is one of the most influential Buddhist architectures of the Great Vehicle Buddhism of China, Myanmar, and Thailand.
