The new Nansha Library opened in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province on Monday, applies a great variety of scientific and technological innovations to overcome the shortcomings of traditional libraries.
The system based on the Qingzhou Platform developed by Cloudwalk, carries several innovative AI achievements, including a robotic sorting system, customized AR glasses, and facial recognition.
Graphene electronic paper is also applied in the library.
Resembling an inkstone, it covers about 11,000 square meters with 1,000 reading seats inside and a designed volume of 900,000 books.
Integrated with advanced technologies, the library has become a new landmark in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. [source: ECNS]
