Yunnan killing spree sparkled by family dispute

Kunming. Yunnan police on Friday Yang Qingpei confessed to killing 19 people after a conflict with his parents, who were among the victims.

The man of Han nationality born in 1989, returned to his hometown of Yema Village,  in Huize County, Qujing and killed his parents following a fight while trying to ask them for money. Fearing he would be discovered by neighbours, the man killed 17 people, including three children, before escaping to the provincial capital of Kunming. Police identified Yang as the suspect and caught him the next day in Kunming.
