The best Chinese Science Fiction Movies from Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan

The science fiction genre in China until a few years ago was considered as something childish, intended primarily for a very young audience, and mostly for educational purposes.

No wonder, therefore, if in the boundless Chinese filmography, this kind of film has never found its place, if not very recently, since Chinese production companies began to invest massively in local and foreign productions.

However, despite this prejudice, some interesting films have been produced over the years, especially in Hong Kong.

In parallel with pure science fiction productions, we find an infinite number of fantasy and horror films, mostly based on Chinese folklore.
