Young Snooker Players in Chenggong, Kunming, Yunnan, South-West China.

Snooker, a billiards-based cue sport, is one of the most popular games in the world, and it’s enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. The following photographs, taken by Italian photographer Matteo Damiani, showcase the passion and talent of these young snooker players.

The kids, from low-income families who range in age from 8 to 14, are seen playing snooker with intense concentration and focus. Their posture, hand movements, and shot selection are all indicative of the countless hours they have spent practicing their craft. The children, who are dressed in simple clothes and shoes, look fully absorbed in their game, and the expressions on their faces show how much they love playing snooker.

The popularity of snooker in China has been on the rise in recent years, and the country has produced some of the world’s best snooker players. The sport has become a source of national pride, and the success of Chinese players has inspired many young people to take up the game.
