Leste Chen
Leste Chen (陳正道) is a Taiwanese film director.
Born March 3, 1981, Leste CHEN is one of the fastest-emerging young directors in Taiwan. Leste Chen’s works are characterized by mood, fluid camera movement, stylized production design, compelling use of music, nuanced performances from young actors, and themes of young love exposed against cruel circumstances. He is an avid film buff, and enjoys watching films on the big screen at least once a week. His cinematic influences include Pedro Almodovar, Alejandro Amenabar, Alfonso Cuaron, Iwai Shunji, and Kim Ji-Woon.
