Chinese freighter crew rescued at Lianyungang

On March 9th, seven people in distress have been rescued after nearly 18 hours of intense relief and escorted to the nearest safe port.

The incident happened not far from Lianyungang . Lianyungang is an important commercial harbour in Jiangsu province. This was one of the four original ports opened up for foreign trade in the 1680s by the Qing Dynasty Government.
